The MIC706TM-TR is designed to detect power and logic supply faults by monitoring the power rail and logic header, and can distinguish between a low-level short to ground and a short to power supply. It also provides a watchdog timer to sense and detect supply rail or logic header failure. It features an open-drain output that provides output for an external POR device, allowing for reliable power-on reset (POR) and voltage detection.
The MIC706TM-TR offers Hot Swap When operating, the MIC706TM-TR provides power and logic supply monitoring and transient protection during system startup, shutdown and load transients. This ensures a stable power supply during system operation. The MIC706TM-TR also provides a real-time monitoring of system voltage, protecting the system against short circuits and overvoltage conditions (OV). The MIC706TM-TR also offers integration of sleep, wakeup and system reset for easy control of system power management, allowing for minimized power consumption during system standby.
