The MIC706TM-TR is an ultra-low-power PMIC Supervisor device that provides high current output and hot swap transient protection. It implements a low-power standby mode, eliminating the need for additional power management components during system sleep modes. The MIC706TM-TR is pin- and footprint-compatible with the existing MIC706TM family, offering design flexibility and scalability.

The MIC706TM-TR is designed to detect power and logic supply faults by monitoring the power rail and logic header, and can distinguish between a low-level short to ground and a short to power supply. It also provides a watchdog timer to sense and detect supply rail or logic header failure. It features an open-drain output that provides output for an external POR device, allowing for reliable power-on reset (POR) and voltage detection.

The MIC706TM-TR offers Hot Swap When operating, the MIC706TM-TR provides power and logic supply monitoring and transient protection during system startup, shutdown and load transients. This ensures a stable power supply during system operation. The MIC706TM-TR also provides a real-time monitoring of system voltage, protecting the system against short circuits and overvoltage conditions (OV). The MIC706TM-TR also offers integration of sleep, wakeup and system reset for easy control of system power management, allowing for minimized power consumption during system standby.

The MIC706TM-TR is able to detect power supply faults and logic header faults by monitoring supply rail, logic header, and voltage level to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of system startup and system operation. Its integrated watchdog timer can monitor the system power rail and logic header, resetting the system if a power supply fault or logic header fault occurs. The MIC706TM-TR can also detect overvoltage and undervoltage conditions (OV and UV), and supports adjustable threshold levels.
