This algorithm also allows for sensing of temperature and enabling of over-temperature protection when necessary.

Finally, the MIC710-L can be used to provide system level voltage monitoring, allowing for voltage control, power monitoring and system power down. With this feature, the MIC708M can initiate system shut down in case of an overload, over-temperature condition or any other system power malfunction.
