### IntroductionThe MKE02Z32VQH2 microcontroller (MCU) is a highly integrated, low power, general purpose device designed for mixed signal control and signal processing applications. It integrates modular hardware blocks for signal acquisition and signal processing, as well as state machine logic for driving external peripherals. The MKE02Z32VQH2 has a large variety of capabilities that make it a perfect solution for a wide range of embedded applications.### Application FieldsMKE02Z32VQH2 microcontrollers are suitable for a variety of embedded applications such as controlling the power supply, communication interface, display, security and safety systems, biomedical monitoring, and navigation and navigation control systems. In particular, the MKE02Z32VQH2 is specifically designed for motor control, medical/portable, and energy management applications as it provides reliable, low power operation and versatile, customizable peripherals and signal processing blocks.In addition, due to its flexibility, the MKE02Z32VQH2 is also used in various automated systems such as industrial automation, robotic control, consumer electronics, and communication devices.### Working PrincipleThe MKE02Z32VQH2 microcontroller is based upon a 32-bit microprocessor core. The core consists of the program memory, a set of 16 general-purpose registers, interrupt and system control logic, a Timer/Counter (TC) unit and a multi-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The program memory is programmable, ROM and SRAM memory, up to 512 Kbytes. The core can access this memory using two integrated instruction caches, each containing up to 8K of instructions. The instruction cache allows the MCU to execute instructions at a much faster rate than if it had to retrieve instructions directly from main memory.The 16 general-purpose registers can store program instructions and perform arithmetic or bit-wise operations. The interrupt and system control logic allows the MKE02Z32VQH2 to respond to external stimuli or to the timer/counter unit.The timer/counter unit consists of 3 timer/counter channels. Each channel is capable of counting and generating a configurable output signal. The timer/counter units are used for a variety of tasks such as pulse-width modulation (PWM), pulse-rate modulation (PRM), and digital-to-analog conversion (DAC). Finally, the multi-channel ADC has up to 16 channels and is used for analog-to-digital conversion.
