The NDUL03N150CG is a fast intrinsic ultra-low capacitance ESD protection diode designed to provide robust electrostatic discharge (ESD) and EMI protection for high-speed data interfaces such as USB, HDMI, and SATA. It is a single carbon nanotube (CNT) antifuse-based ESD device with ultra-low capacitance and very fast response time, designed to suppress ESD pulses in excess of 8kV (contact discharge).

The anti-fuse or CNT structure used in NDUL03N150CG is based on a “nanotube-in-gap” (NIG) arrangement of the two electrodes, allowing for low capacitance. When exposed to an ESD event, the current triggers a breakdown at the gap between the two electrodes, forming an internal electrical path between the two terminals. This effectively connects both terminals to ground, allowing for ESD protection. This anti-fuse is also known as a high-speed ESD-triggerable switch or self-formed switch.

The NDUL03N150CG is designed to protect a wide variety of high-speed data interfaces. These include HDMI, USB, SATA, and other interfaces susceptible to ESD damage. It can also protect against EMI interference. The device has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It has a maximum voltage of 30V, a maximum current of 200mA, and a maximum capacitance of 0.15pF, making it ideal for use in high-speed data transmission applications.
