In the synchronous write mode, the serial-, byte- and word-modes all operate with the same programmed write cycle times, as low as 5 nanoseconds. It has two selectable write protect options.
The 3-wire serial interface of NM93C66EM8 is an extremely versatile and useful features. With this feature, the read and write can be controlled via the chip select, clock and data inputs. The programming and the erasing of the memory will be done through an external 3-pin control line. The master device of the serial interface is always a microcontroller. The interface can also support several chips at the same time for multi-chip operation or simulatenous read/write operation.
