P1800GALRP Application Field and Working Principle

P1800GALRP are a type of thyristor, a solid-state semiconductor device, also known as silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCRs) or thyristor, are descended from the earliest diode-transistor logic by small switching elements in a circuit. Thyristors are the base component of many circuits, commonly used in switch mode power supplies which convert main alternating current, also known as AC, into direct current, or DC, as well as inverters which change DC into AC. The P1800GALRP is a special type of thyristor designed for Series Resonant Gate Applications.
