Thyristors - TRIACsThyristors, or Thyristor-Based Rectifier Modules (TRMs), are three-terminal power semiconductor devices made of several layers of semiconductor material that are stacked together to form a bridge-like structure. This triple layer structure allows current to flow between two terminals of the device, with the other terminal serving as a control. TRIACs (Triode for Alternating Current) are a special type of thyristor that allow current to flow in either direction, depending on the polarity of the voltage applied across the terminals.The Q6010LH5TP is a modular thyristor device that uses the TRIAC design to control currents up to 10A. It is designed for use in applications where a highly efficient, low-cost control system is required for power supplies and switch-mode power supplies.
