The RT8079AGQW is a low-cost, low-power DC-DC switching regulator in the latest RT80xAQ-L family from Richtek Technology Corporation. This family of regulators is designed for applications such as Apple iPad, iPhone, and iPod applications, as well as similar products based on the same application requirements. The RT8079AGQW can provide up to 2.0 A current output, and operates from an input voltage range of 3V to 5.5V.

The RT8079AGQW is a non-synchronous buck regulator; it features an integrated power saving, low-noise inductor, and an internal compensation. Its switching frequency is adjustable from 300 kHz to 3.5 MHz, and consumes 150 µA max quiescent current.
