S3G and R7G diodes are single rectifier diodes. They were developed for the purpose of creating a low forward voltage drop diode with low reverse leakage current. As such, they are useful in a variety of applications requiring rectification and high frequency AC circuit switching.
As an example, one might use a S3G and R7G diode to construct a bridge rectifier circuit for converting AC voltage to DC voltage.
