The SA43C, also known as a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode, is designed to provide protection against sudden and large voltage increases (also known as transients) that may occur in any electrical circuit. This diode can protect systems and components from testing and known environmental conditions by safely clamping the voltage to a set level and providing an electrical connection between two points. As a voltage-dependent device, the SA43C allows electrical current to travel in only one direction.
