SE5534NG is an integrated circuit (IC) for a variable gain amplifier (VGA). It is part of the linear-amplifiers instrumentation, OP Amps, Buffer Amps class of ICs and is used for a variety of applications. The first stage comprises a single N-channel Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor (NMOSFET) connected in a common source configuration. This stage provides current gain, low noise and input impedance. The second stage comprises two P-channel MOSFETs (PMOSFETs). This stage provides voltage gain, low impedance output and low distortion. The third stage comprises two PMOSFETs. This stage converts the differential input voltage to a single-ended one.

The two stages are connected in a closed loop feedback configuration to provide a high linearity and high gain range. The feedback loop is also used to cover a wide gain range, allowing high performance in a wide range of applications.
