Working Principle

The SG7912AIG-883B voltage regulator is based on a CMOS topology design. It features a low quiescent current (10uA typical) and has a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 24V. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.6V to 15V. The output current is up to 1A, with high efficiency up to 95%, typical.

It utilizes a simple linear regulation principle, which relies on a voltage divider composed of the series combination of two resistors.
