SG7915AK is a home application field and linear voltage regulator device. It is the flagship product of its regulators series, includes an Adaptive Voltage Scaling™ (AVS) output voltage tracking and hysteretic loop module to regulate voltage levels. The device also incorporates programmable current limit/short circuit protection and Run-Time Configuration (RTC) for setting all of its configuration options. The SG7915AK device is designed to allow for a wide range of configuration parameters and is compatible with a variety of applications, such as power distribution, battery management, automotive engine control, and powering of embedded wireless chipsets, communications products, and industrial equipment.The SG7915AK is based around a voltage regulator with both a controller and an error amplifier. The two circuits work together to allow for precise and stable voltage output. The controller monitors the output voltage of the regulator and compares it to the desired setpoint of the voltage regulator. If the output voltage deviates from the setpoint, the error amplifier will adjust the current demand on the regulator in order to maintain the desired output voltage.
