The SMCG5662E3/TR13 is a transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode that is designed to protect sensitive electronic devices from electrical overstress. Its Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode is a two-terminal, voltage-dependent, unidirectional device consisting of a junction diode electrically connected in series with a metal-oxide varistor (MOV). The device absorbs power in the form of electrical transients, dissipating it as harmless heat, thus preventing the overvoltage to the load.

The SMCG5662E3/TR13 device is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode used for protection of circuits against voltage and/or current transients.
