SMDJ17 Application Field and Working Principle

SMDJ17 transil diodes are Unidirectional and bidirectional, designed for use in a variety of application fields such as communication systems, computer systems, automation systems and telecommunication networks. They are an excellent ESD protection solution against the effects of Electro Static Discharge (ESD) during manufacturing and operation.

The SMDJ17 is intended to protect against the effects of electrostatic discharge (ESD) upto 25KV contact discharge. It also provides protection against surges or transients.
