The ST1S12GR, by STMicroelectronics, is a type of DC‐DC switching regulator. It is ideal for applications that require low power with high efficiency. This device provides the features necessary for efficient power conversion with integrated adaptive on‐time and dynamic current limiting. It is encased in a leadframe measuring 6mm by 6mm and manufactured using the latest advanced gallium nitride (GaN) technology.

The ST1S12GR can be configured as a step down regulator to provide a consistent output voltage regardless of input voltage. Using an input range of 3.3V to 45V, the ST1S12GR yields a stable output voltage of 1.8V to 28V, up to a maximum output current of 12A. Additionally, the cutoff current for the current mode control (CMC) can be progressively reduced to maximise efficiency in light load conditions.
