STEVAL-CBL004V1 is an evaluation board for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS (switch-mode power supplies). The evaluation board is designed to evaluate the performance of the STNRGPF021PN SMPS controller integrated circuit (IC) in a Buck type buck/boost application. The board is designed to run from a wide input voltage range from 4.7 V to 25 V DC and is capable of providing up to 13.8 W output power. The board is also designed with multiple built-in features to make evaluation and performance measurement easy and trouble free.
Application Field: The STEVAL-CBL004V1 evaluation board offers a convenient design platform for evaluation and testing of the STNRGPF021PN in DC/DC and AC/DC buck/boost applications. Working Principle: The STEVAL-CBL004V1 evaluation board is based on a buck-boost topology. This topology is used to efficiently convert a wide input voltage range into a constant, stable output voltage. The board is driven by the STNRGPF021PN IC, which contains all the necessary circuitry to provide the correct PWM switching for optimal power conversion from a wide input voltage range and into a constant, stable output voltage. The STNRGPF021PN IC is a ROM based programmable device, allowing for detailed customization of the design according to the user’s specific application requirements.
The STEVAL-CBL004V1 evaluation board is designed with multiple conversion modes, allowing for easy evaluation of both buck and buck-boost conversion.
