The STEVAL-LNBH01 are Evaluation Boards – DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS that have a wide array of applications for many different areas. The STEVAL-LNBH01 is able to provide solutions for high-efficiency, high-voltage, low-noise SMPS such as those used in regulated AC/DC converters and switchmode power supplies. The board implements a high-performance peak power converter dedicated to powering highly active applications and is a perfect fit for LED lighting, electromedical, audio, test & measurement, and automotive applications.The STEVAL-LNBH01 is designed using the LNBH01 family of high- frequency power converters which consists of integrated ICs that can handle load and line regulation up to 400 VDC at up to 40A. With their innovative design, these integrated ICs provide protection from short-circuit, thermal overload, and input reverse polarity. The STEVAL-LNBH01 also features an efficient and low noise switching frequency with the LNBH01 family of devices offering several different operating frequencies ranging from 500 kHz to 2 MHz.The board contains two seperate power sections, each with its own IC. One section contains an AC/DC drain-source buffer stage which is necessary for providing isolation between the control loop allowing the user to optimize the voltage regulation. The other section provides the load regulation. This section contains a synchronous rectifier, MOSFETs and transistors which help to improve the efficiency of the overall power supply.The unique design of the STEVAL-LNBH01 makes it possible to achieve high efficiency while maintaining a very low switching noise in the low frequency range (less than 100 kHz). The power sections are also connected in parallel, which helps to enhance the overall stability of the power supply design, allowing the current to be balanced between the two power sections while still providing excellent voltage regulation.The overall purpose of the STEVAL-LNBH01 is to provide a compact and reliable solution for high-efficiency, high-voltage, low-noise SMPS, and this board accomplishes just that. The integrated ICs provide excellent protection, the power sections are well balanced, the switching frequency is efficient and low noise, and the board’s entire design is compact and compactibility.The STEVAL-LNBH01 is well suited for use in many different applications where high performance, efficiency, and stability are essential such as those used in regulated AC/DC converters and switchmode power supplies. It is an ideal option for LED lighting, electromedical, audio, test & measurement, and automotive applications.
