The STEVAL-MKI165V1 evaluation board is a verification and development platform to evaluate NXP\'s MKI165V1 inertial measurement unit. This board features the MMA9553L low-power 6-axis motion sensing system-in-package, which is used to detect and track motion so that users can track orientation and use acceleration or angular velocity for movement recognition. The STEVAL-MKI165V1 evaluation board has two main components: the NXP MKI165V1 inertial measurement unit and the MMA9553L motion sensing system. The MKI165V1 is a three-axis digital gyroscope and three-axis digital accelerometer developed by NXP. It features 16-bit digital output for a wide dynamic range and 6kdps/44kdps maximum output ranges.
The MMA9553L system is an ultra-low power 6-axis motion sensing system that combines a 3-axis digital accelerometer, a 3-axis digital gyroscope and an additional temperature sensor. It features high precision, low shock sensitivity, low power consumption and a wide range of applicable sensing axes. Both components are integrated into a single chip package and feature high performance and suitable adjustment capabilities in demanding applications. The system can sample the movement of an object in 6 dimensions—without the need for any external components.
The STEVAL-MKI165V1 evaluation board is designed to be used as a development platform to evaluate the features of the MKI165V1 inertial measurement unit.
