SY89831UMI is a high-speed, low-skew, low-jitter clock/timing buffer. It significantly reduces the clock-skew and jitter, enabling higher performance and improved clock integrity for clock and timing ICs.

The SY89831UMI is designed to be used in applications where the input clock signal is too small or too fast for the application\'s high speed performance requirements. The device is capable of delivering full flexibility of output frequency and impedance matching, with on-chip phase-locked loop (PLL) control, enabling the highest-speed applications with minimum output jitter over full environmental and frequency range conditions.

The chip also has gated supply control and low output-to-input ratio control to maintain maximum cycle-to-cycle jitter and low current consumption. The device is capable of providing two, three or four outputs, with a maximum output frequency of up to 1.2GHz.

The SY89831UMI has two internal PLL cores, one for each bank of outputs, providing maximum adjustment of output frequency and supply control. The two cores also handle two outputs per bank, and can be used to on-chip selectable output enabling, glitching or spread spectrum output or disabled to save power.

The chip also has a flexible base configuration, with one or two banks of outputs. The outputs from each bank can be individually programmed with up to 4 pins, allowing for multiple output frequencies and skew. The chip can also be programmed to provide multiple output frequencies, with the added benefit of enabling output selection.
