SY89837UMG-TR is an advanced universal clock driver featuring up to 25 outputs. It implements a range of high performance clock signal conditioning functions supported by a highly integrated 5-pin package. It utilizes internal proportional dividers for clock tree and frequency translation applications. SY89837UMG-TR works in three main modes: source select, oscillator enable, and frequency divider. Source select mode allows the user to choose between an external reference clock and an oscillator. In oscillator enable mode, the user can enable or disable the SY89837UMG-TR’s internal oscillator for the entire device. Frequency divider mode enables the user to select the output frequency based on the value of the reference clock.

External interfaces of SY89837UMG-TR include clock input, clock outputs, and two programmable control pins. The clock input pin has a wide range of frequency from 3.2kHz to 200MHz.The output can support differential LVPECL, LVDS, and CMOS with speeds up to 200MHz. Two of the control pins enable the user to vary the reference frequency and enable the outputs.

SY89837UMG-TR includes a Proportional Divider (PD) module that allows the user to configure the output frequency to that of the input clock frequency. It also includes a skew matching control circuit and a clock signal conditioning circuit. The skew matching circuit ensures that the outputs have a constant skew value that is independent of the input frequency. The clock signal conditioning circuit provides signal enhancement and signal distortion reduction to the output signals.
