Thyristors - SCRs

A thyristor, or Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR), is a type of electronic switch designed for high-power and high-voltage applications. It is based on the function of a three-layer PNPN device and consists of a gate, main current, and a diode connected in series with each other.
