TC4427COA713, a monolithic H-Bridge gate driver with protection, is a wide-range,high-current gate driver that is optimized for driving power switches, likeMOSFETs and IGBTs, in applications operating down to a 1.8V supply. Itdelivers high peak and continuous output current, increased ruggedness andprotection against over-voltage, over-temp and output short-circuit conditions.It is one of many Power Management ICs (PMICs) in the Gate Driver familyaimed at using low cost, high-performance power conversion solutions. TheTC4427COA713 integrates a high-side, low-side and charge pump drivercircuitry in one package with drive current capability up to ±4A in avery small 8-lead DIP or 8-lead SOIC package. This device is designed foruse in a wide variety of automotive and industrial motor controlapplications, such as headlight dimmers, wiper motors, and power windowactuation. Furthermore, the device is compliant with the AEC-Q100 guidelinesfor vehicle application.The TC4427COA713 is divided into three main operating blocks:1. High-Side & Low-Side Driver Blocks: allow the user to select either logic or PWMmode of operation. It also has protection features to ensure its safetyin case of overvoltage, undervoltage or overcurrent conditions.2. Charge Pump Driver Block: consists of a charge pump circuit thatproduces up to 8.3V high-side gate drive voltage. This block isaccomplished in a very small footprint, making the TC4427COA713 suitablefor applications which require a high-side gate voltage of up to 8.3V.3. Circuit Protection Block: It includes a Thermally Enhanced ElectricProtection (TEEP) circuit that safeguards the device and provides activeovervoltage protection of up to 35V.The TC4427COA713 offers a wide range of features that make it auser-friendly and cost-effective solution for motor control applicationssuch as headlight dimmers, wiper motors and power window actuation.
