Aluminum electrolytic capacitors utilize electrolytic technology, enabling high capacitance values in small case sizes. The TE1155E aluminum electrolytic capacitors offers superb performance characteristics for applications demanding the highest levels of reliability and performance.The TE1155E is available in a variety of form factors and capacities, ranging from 1000µF to 10,000µF with a voltage ratings of 50V, 75V and 100V. This large range of available ratings makes the TE1155E well suited for a wide variety of applications, including power supplies, energy storage, pulse wave generation, brushless DC motor control, portable electronics and medical equipment. The TE1155E’s construction consists of a thin film of aluminum oxide that acts as the dielectric between an aluminum anode and a wound cathode. This dielectric layer is formed using a wet electrolytic process, which is why these capacitors are sometimes referred to as “wet electrolytic” or “aluminum electrolytic” capacitors. As one of the most common capacitor types, aluminum electrolytics have excellent electrical characteristics, including low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance), high ripple current capabilities and low cost. The dielectric also provides excellent temperature stability over a wide temperature range, typically -40℃ to +105℃. The working principle of the TE1155E is simple. When it is not being used to store or transfer energy, the capacitor is in its discharged state. In this state, no electrical current flows from the positive electrode to the negative and the voltage across it is zero. When current flows from the positive terminal to the negative, the positive electrode becomes polarised and electrons flow through the electrolyte to the negative electrode. This flow of electrons causes a voltage to be built up across the terminals of the capacitor, and this is the stored electrical energy. When reverse voltage is applied to the capacitor, the reverse current will cause the stored energy to be discharged as a low voltage across the terminals. This process is repeated for each subsequent pulse. The TE1155E aluminum electrolytic capacitor offers superior performance compared to other capacitor types due to its high capacitance per unit volume, low ESR, temperature stability and high ripple current capability.
