Aluminum electrolytic capacitors (also known as aluminum electrolytic capacitors, Al-Ecaps, and AECs) are electrical components that store and release electrical energy in electrical circuits. These capacitors are unlike conventional capacitors in that they use an electrolytic process to help store the charge. This makes them more efficient than other types of capacitors.
