Driver

In addition, the improved CAN driver-transceiver circuit also provides an optimized output- and loading behavior of the transceiver. The TJA1041T/VM,518 receiver is based on the CAN-controller CAN FD. It compares the transmitted bit patterns for recognizing valid IDs, valid data blocks and other valid control information. The maximum receiving speed is 10Mbits/s. The receiver features a rich set of error correction and bit pattern recognition services. It can detect valid random-bit pattern data frames as well as valid data frames with given specific bit patterns or bit pattern variances. In addition, the receiver can detect frames with given channel- and version coding and also detect changes in the idle status of the receive channel.

Transceiver

The TJA1041T/VM,518 transceiver is based on the CAN-controller CAN FD and combines a full-duplex physical layer with a differential transmitter and receiver. The transceiver provides both reclocked and non-reclocked data reception and transmission. It supports both single-ended and differential transmission modes. The transceiver module is also protected against bus-ground fault, bus-voltage surge, as well as common-mode voltage surge.
