TJA1055T/3/1J Application Field and Working Principle

The TJA1055T/3/1J is a high-speed CAN transceiver developed by NXP Semiconductors. As an integrated and high-performance bus transceiver, it is based on the physical layer requirements for the control area network (CAN) defined by the ISO 11898-2 standard. It is controlled by the ISO 11898-2 interface signal and provides differential transmit capability and differential receive capability for the CAN protocol.

Working Principle

Unlike previous CAN transceivers, the TJA1055T/3/1J is able to realize full-duplex communication on a pair of differential signal wires (CAN_H and CAN_L) without the need for additional control signals.
