PMIC - AC DC Converters, Offline Switchers:TNY375DG is a cost-effective and highly integrated non-isolated switching power supply module. It is designed to convert the high-voltage AC mains power to a regulated output voltage between 12V and 24V. It is aimed to optimize system designs.The TNY375DG is especially suitable for applications in the solar and LED lighting fields, where regulated and fluctuating AC mains are common. TNY375DG is based on the universal offline switcher topology, which has integrated all the necessary components in one package. The module is capable of providing up to 3A of continuous output current, with peak efficiency up to 88%. The module main features an internal high voltage start-up switch, enabling the final design with a very low component count and cost. In addition to this, it has a great precision of both output voltage and current. TNY375DG also includes a semiconductor fuse at the input due to their low cost and small size which allows for a compact design. The working principle of the TNY375DG module is based on the rectification of the high-voltage AC mains power, which also depends on the requirements of the design. It also employs active-voltage control, which consists of a voltage control circuit to control the output voltage. The internal controller will turn ON/OFF the switch depending on the incoming voltage and the current configuration, to maintain a steady output voltage with less than ±1% accuracy. The main advantage of using TNY375DG is that it can be used to generate a very regulated output voltage without the need of a bulky isolated transformer. This allows for a much more stable output power with much better efficiency than linear converters. The module also includes several protection features such as over-voltage and over-temperature protection, making it a much safer component in comparison to conventional DC-DC converters.
