The device also features an integrated DC-DC module optimized for the high-side MOSFET and low-side MOSFET in each buck regulator, allowing the high-side MOSFET to be operated at a tiny fraction of their maximum duty cycle. This feature helps reduce heat losses and promote a more efficient power flow.
The TPS65141RGER can also perform power sequencing and loadshaping to ensure proper system operation. For example, it can adjust the output current of the two buck regulators to reduce maximum output current with a high loading application, enabling higher system efficiency and reducing the need for bigger and costlier power components.
