Working principle

The UC3845BDR2 is a DC/DC switching temperature control switching controller. Its operating principle is based on the principle of pulse width modulation (PWM). The device has an internal oscillator and a high current totem pole output stage. It is used to control an externally connected power switch (or "primary switch") that is capable of carrying large amounts of power.

The PWM output from the device is used to generate a switching signal for the primary switch.
