Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are a type of capacitor, typically used in power electronic applications, that are made from an electrolyte of a stabilizing or reservoir liquid like oil (also known as a dielectric liquid) and a dielectric material. Aluminum electrolytic capacitors can store a large amount of energy and has low leakage current. In operation, it acts as a high-frequency filter or decoupler in electronic circuits.

UPM2W010MPD Application Field and Working Principle

UPM2W010MPD is an ultra-miniaturized aluminum electrolytic high-capacity capacitor which is used in charging and power cell applications. This type of capacitor has a large capacity and is used in low power and low impedance applications. The working principle of the UPM2W010MPD aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on the electrochemical exhaustion of the active aluminum or tantalum layer. It is basically a dielectric and filled with liquid and a sealant to make it more durable and stable. The UPM2W010MPD aluminum electrolytic capacitor consists of two metal electrodes, dielectric, and a dry interfacial film.
