The X5083S8 belongs to the PMIC (Power Management ICs) Supervisors family and comes with an array of features that ensure a smooth and secure working environment.
What differentiates the X5083S8 from other supervisors is its ability to monitor not just one but two power supplies. This means that in the case of a fault in one of the power supplies, the second one can take over and provide continuous operation of the system. Furthermore, to increase the system\'s robustness and its tolerance to extreme transient voltages, the X5083S8 also implements a wide range of built-in protection. It includes overvoltage, undervoltage, reverse current sensing and overcurrent sensing that can be adjusted through the onboard DACs according to the application specific requirements.
