Introduction

The 1N4526 is a silicon rectifier diode type which is primarily used for negative voltage indication applications. The diodes have a rated peak forward current of 500 mA and reverse voltage of 30 V with a maximum peak repetitive reverse voltage of 30 V. These diodes offer low junction capacitance of 4.0 pF, and a low series inductance which provides excellent high-speed switching performance.

Application Field

The 1N4526 rectifier diodes are primarily used in negative voltage indication applications including over-voltage or polarity reversal protection, AC and DC power applications, current-sensing, and as a zener diode in voltage regulation circuits. In DC power applications, the 1N4526 rectifier diodes are used as switches for regulating the flow of current in a circuit and for providing absolute polarity protection for circuits using both AC and DC power sources. These diodes can also be used for over-voltage protection in circuits using AC mains supplies and for polarity reversal protection in circuits using both AC and DC power sources. The 1N4526 rectifier diodes are also used in current-sensing applications, such as in monitoring component, such as regulated power supply, or battery chargers. Working Principle

The 1N4526 rectifier diode works on the principle of PN junction rectification.
