Analog-to-digital converters, or ADC, are a key component of any successful data acquisition system. They are used to convert the electrical signals collected from physical world devices into the digital signals which can be then analyzed and used in the design and operation of various systems.AD7732BRUZ-REEL is an exceptionally powerful, 24-bit, multichannel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that utilizes a special reconstruction filter architecture to provide higher accuracy and larger dynamic range than traditional ADCs. This device is designed to be used in cost-sensitive, precision data acquisition and analog signal-processing applications such as industrial process control, electric motor control, automotive, and medical instrumentation. In order to maximize the performance of this device, it is important to understand its features and how it operates. The AD7732BRUZ-REEL features four channels of 24-bit resolution and provides up to 79-dB dynamic range with no missing codes. It offers a variety of input ranges and output coding options, including unipolar, bipolar, and true differential. Additionally, it has an onboard digital low-pass filter with programmable cutoff frequency and alarm thresholding capabilities. The AD7732BRUZ-REEL is a high-speed, synchronous ADC that works by periodically sampling the analog data and converting it into digital form. It utilizes a 4x oversampling technique to improve the signal-to-noise ratio and to reduce noise.
