Direct Digital Synthesis, often referred to as DDS, is a modern signal generation technique. It is usually used to generate digital output signals based on an analog one. The AD9838 ACPZ-RL7 is a programmable dual-channel Direct Digital Synthesizer, and is a device designed to make direct digital synthesis possible. The AD9838 ACPZ-RL7 is part of a family of DDS ICs from Analog Devices that come in both standard and specialized packages to meet different application requirements.
