This sample is then compared to a reference voltage using a comparator. The output of the comparator is then used to select a digital output code that is proportional to the analog input voltage.The second stage is the quantization stage which occurs once the code is selected. In this stage, the ADC determines the ‘number’ of binary bits required to represent the voltage in digital form. The output from the ADC is determined by the number of bits required and the level of resolution desired.Therefore, the ADS5520IPAPG4 improves the fidelity of the analog signal by measuring and quantizing the signal with high accuracy.
