The AN77L10M is a low-dropout linear voltage regulator circuit with low noise, reverse-current protection, and output current-limiting protection. The device supports a wide input voltage, operating temperature range and output voltage accuracy through a P-channel metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) technology. It is ideal for regulating small currents up to 1000mA. The AN77L10M is designed to provide high accuracy output voltage behavior and dissipate small amounts of heat even at very low load currents. It can also be used to power multiple low-power outputs without the need for inductors or electrostatic capacitors.

Working Principle
The AN77L10M voltage regulator works by taking an unregulated input voltage and converting it to a regulated output voltage. The regulator uses a P-channel MOSFET as the main active component. This MOSFET acts as a variable resistor, controlling the current between the input and output. The output voltage is compared to a precision reference voltage and the difference is used to control the gate of the MOSFET, allowing the device to accurately regulate the output voltage. The regulated output voltage is also protected from short circuits and over currents by featuring a thermal shutdown logic, reverse current protection, and current limit protection.
The application of the AN77L10M includes, but is not limited to, powering small loads such as microcontrollers, memories, displays and other low-power electronics. It is available in SOT-23 and 9W-DFN packages.
