BAS16DXV6T1 Application Field and Working Principle
The BAS16DXV6T1 is a type of rectifier array designed specifically for high frequency and low power rectification applications. It is a surface mount rectifier array with high zero voltage switching ( ZVS) performance, low conduction loss and low EMI radiation. It comprises of an array of 6 independent, identical low power rectifier circuits in a monolithic assembly. These rectifiers are capable of providing up to 50A peak pulse current for a short duration. The BAS16DXV6T1 rectifier array is commonly used for AC-DC rectification in automotive, industrial and consumer electronic applications.The BAS16DXV6T1 rectifier array consists of 6 identical low power rectifier circuits in a monolithic assembly. Each rectifier circuit has two terminals; the anode and cathode terminals. The anode terminal is connected to the voltage source and the cathode terminal is connected to the load. The device works on the principle of avalanche breakdown. When the voltage across the anode to the cathode terminal reaches its breakdown voltage, the current starts to flow from the anode to the cathode terminal and the power is supplied to the load. The breakdown voltage depends on the type of diode used and is typically around 0.6 to 1.2V for a silicon diode.The BAS16DXV6T1 rectifier array has several advantages over traditional rectifier circuits such as; higher current peaks, lower conduction loss, longer operating life and lower EMI radiation. It enables efficient energy conversion in a wide range of applications, including power supply design, power module design and AC-DC rectification. It can also be used as a switching device in multiple applications such as in power inverter circuits and motor drive circuits.The BAS16DXV6T1 rectifier array has a maximum peak forward current of 50A and a maximum average current of 20A. It has a maximum junction temperature of 175°C and a continuous forward operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
