The BD14000EFV-EVK-001 Evaland Demonstration Kit from Zilog is a comprehensive system that can be used to evaluate and demonstrate the BD14000EFC GigaPower MCU and to create complex, high-performance applications. The BD14000EFV-EVK-001 comes with a USB programmed board as a base board and the BD14000EFC GigaPower MCU as an application board. The USB programmed board has numerous input/output peripherals including an 8-digit panel, a 9-digit keypad, LCD, SD card, 4 LEDs, RS232 9-pin port, temperature/humidity sensor and a RGB backlight LED. The board supports various interface techniques such as I2C, SPI, CAN, etc. It also has a reset manager and all necessary power supply and voltage regulators.

The application board comes with the BD14000EFC GigaPower MCU which features a dual-core architecture, 64-bit RISC processor, on-chip clock generator, optional external clock synthesizer, and up to 1024 Kbytes of on-chip Flash memory. The BD14000EFC GigaPower MCU is capable of delivering up to 16 MIPS of performance at 8 MHz core frequency and supports both 21-bit and 24-bit addressing modes. It also supports hardware encryption and provides flexible configuration options for multiple operating systems and programming languages, making it an optimal choice for powering a wide range of applications.

The board also has other benefits like a 3.3V or 5V power input, two independent power regulators, individual power supplies for each of the board’s peripherals, and a USB connection for communications. This all makes the BD14000EFV-EVK-001 well suited for exploring the various features of the BD14000EFC GigaPower MCU. The board also has an Application explorer board which allows developers to evaluate the BD14000EFC GigaPower MCU without having to write code or write their own programs.
