BD241CTU transistors are of the single, bipolar junction transistor variety, sometimes referred to as BJT transistors. Bjt transistors are made of three layers of semiconductor materials, usually a silicon core with an additional layer of p-type material and an additional layer of n-type material. The application of these transistors is electric control circuit, analog and digital circuits, various audio ,video,computers and other electrical appliances in circuits.

A BJT operates by allowing current to flow from an Emitter to a Collector depending on voltage applied to its base.
