Diodes are widely used in electronic circuits for the purpose of creating energy barriers for the transfer of electrical signals and electrical energy. The most commonly used type of diode is the Zener diode. Zener diodes have a low reverse breakdown voltage, allowing them to act as a voltage regulator, rectifier, and current limiting device. The BZT52-B6V2X diode is a type of Zener diode with a rated peak reverse power of 6V and a maximum of 5,000V.
