The BZT52C47-13 is a single Zener diode with a nominal Zener voltage of 13V. The working principle the BZT52C47-13 Zener diode is based on the PN junction. The PN junction is a boundary between two regions of different doping levels, allowing for the formation of a low resistance semiconductor device. In the PN junction of the BZT52C47-13, one side is heavily doped, while the other is lightly doped. During normal operation, no current flows through the diode.
When the voltage applied to the BZT52C47-13 exceeds the Zener voltage of 13V, the diode begins to conduct current. This is because of the idea of reverse-biased conduction within the PN junction.
