Optoisolators, known also as optocouplers and photocouplers, are the devices used to restore signals in an electrical system while isolating them from other circuits. The main application field of CNY17-1XSM appears to be in driving relay coils, DSP signals, and buzzers, where very low on-state voltage is required, as low as 1V.
