Optoisolators are semiconductor devices that use light to provide electrical isolation, break ground loops, and improve noise immunity in electrical circuits. Transistor, photovoltaic output (CNY17-2X) optoisolators are specially designed for AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) applications.
