DS1647-120 is a low-cost and highly accurate real-time clock/calendar product, which is used in a wide variety of embedded applications such as data logging, automated security and data warehousing. The device is organized as a set of registers, RAM, voltage control and oscillator, the sub-components of the circuit. It uses a 32 kHz crystal oscillator and a 256-bit nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM) chip to maintain time-stamping. The DS1647-120 is manufactured by Dallas Semiconductor.
The DS1647-120 is based on an analog clock and calendar with three selectable time modes (Standard, Daylight, and Summer).
