DS92LV1023EMQX/NOPB is an enhanced dual low power LVDS serializer and deserializer, manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is designed to transfer data across a board at high speeds and with low power consumption. This device is ideal for applications in the telecommunications, medical imaging, industrial automation and video distribution markets.The serialization and deserialization process is the same for all devices, however, the DS92LV1023EMQX/NOPB has several features that make it superior to other devices. It includes pulse-width modulation, voltage-controlled oscillator, output disable control, hot-plug capability and an adjustable output termination resistor.The serializer is used to convert parallel data streams into serial data streams. It receives parallel signals from upstream devices, such as digital-to-analog converters or analog-to-digital converters, and sends out serial data after serializing the input signals. The deserializer is the opposite of the serializer. It receives serial data and converts it back into parallel signals to send to downstream devices.The DS92LV1023EMQX/NOPB can also be used in Dual Wire Mode, which enables two unidirectional LVDS data streams to be simultaneous sent and received by two DS92LV1023EMQX/NOPB devices. In addition, the device features a three-level jitter attenuator for improved signal integrity.The DS92LV1023EMQX/NOPB is based on Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS), a popular data transfer protocol used to transmit large amounts of data in small package sizes.
