Working Principle

The GP10A-M3/54 is a single rectifier diode. This device works by allowing electric current to flow in one direction while blocking it in the opposite direction. This is accomplished by a P-N junction, which creates a barrier that selectively allows current to flow depending on the direction of the voltage.

The P-N junction consists of two semiconductor materials, one with a positive charge and one with a negative charge. The positive material is referred to as the anode, and the negative material is referred to as the cathode. In order for current to flow, the voltage across the P-N junction must be higher than the junction\'s reverse-bias breakdown voltage.

The GP10A-M3/54 is designed to minimize losses due to its low forward voltage drop. Additionally, the device is protected from overvoltage and undervoltage, providing added protection to sensitive circuits.
