GP10M-4007HE3/73 Application Field and Working Principle

Working principle

The GP10M-4007HE3/73 rectifier diode is a semiconductor device which has two terminals, an Anode (positive terminal) and a Cathode (negative terminal). When the Anode is connected to the positive voltage and the Cathode is connected to the ground (negative voltage), the diode allows electric current to flow in the forward direction (from Anode to Cathode). This is called the forward bias. When the polarity of the voltage applied is reversed (ie. Anode is connected to the negative voltage and the Cathode is connected to the positive voltage), the diode blocks the electric current and does not allow it to flow. This is called the reverse bias.The main function of the GP10M-4007HE3/73 rectifier diode is to provide a unidirectional current path (forward bias), which allows only current to flow in one direction (from Anode to Cathode).
