GSOT24C-E3-08 is designed in a BIDIR technology that works with two components. It captures two-step breakdown voltage treatments that paves way for faster response during overvoltage protection. In the first step, electric field of a diode is raised to E1, which is below its Rated Breakdown Voltage. When the current increases above the rated clamping current of the diode, it can break down and go to its second step. The second step comprises of two parts, one is the protection side, while the other one is energy absorption side. In the protection side, the polarity of the over-voltage will get reversed, which eventually holds back the over-voltage and keep the system voltage at a safe level. In the energy absorption part, it will absorb the excess energy, and as a result, suppress the over-voltage to a safe level.Conclusion
