Optoisolators provide electrical protection against noise and isolation between circuits. The IL4108-X006 is a compact, packaged optoisolator with an Triac, SCR output. It has applications such as air conditioning systems, tel/epabx equipment, HVAC equipment, home appliances, switch mode power supplies, motor control, lighting control, contactors, DC motors and AC motors.

The IL4108-X006 operates on the principle of optocoupler isolation, which utilizes an optical light path to achieve electrical isolation between two circuits. An LED, placed inside of the optoisolator, emits light when an electrical signal is sent to it. On the other side of the optoisolator, a photosensitive element, such as a phototransistor or photodiode, converts the light signal into an electrical signal. This electrical signal is then used to control a circuit, providing electrical isolation from the other circuit.

The IL4108-X006 optoisolator features Triac and SCR output. The Triac is an semiconductor device used to control an AC power circuit.
